Add ARS to a server you already have

Already running a Discord server? You don't need to start over. In about five minutes you'll pull your current server into a blueprint, tweak it, and push changes back — safely. Follow these five steps in order.

Nothing gets wiped. ARS only adds what's missing and fixes settings — it never renames or deletes your existing channels or roles.
1

Invite the bot to your server

Click the button, choose the server you already run, and press Authorize. Leave the requested permissions checked.

You need the Manage Server permission on that server to add a bot. If you don't own it, ask whoever does.
2

Export your current server

Run /export and press enter. ARS replies with a summary and a .json file — that's your whole server as a blueprint. Download that file (click it → Save).

Same as step 1, /export needs Manage Server or Manage Channels.

In any channel, type:

/export

3

Load the file here

Click Import JSON, pick the .json you just downloaded, and it opens right in the builder. That's the file from step 2 — nothing else to fill in.

4

Edit it, then Save

Rename things, add or remove channels and roles, whatever you want — or change nothing at all. When you're happy, hit Save. ARS gives you a short deploy code (something like KVM3NQ). Copy it.

5

Build it in Discord

Back in your server, type one of these with your code:

  • /deploy YOURCODE — build it into a brand-new server.
  • /update YOURCODE — apply your changes to this server (adds & fixes only, never deletes).
Done. You can re-run /update any time you tweak the blueprint — your server stays in sync.
