Questions, answered

What people ask before they add Foreman. Something missing? Ask us.

Getting started

What is this?
The ARS Blueprint Builder is where you plan a Discord server: channels, categories, roles, who can see what, onboarding questions, moderation, welcome messages and more, by hand or with an AI Assistant. Foreman is the bot that builds it in Discord, then keeps running it: moderation, logs, feeds, role pickers, and answering questions when someone @-mentions him.
Is it free?
Designing is free, and you don't need an account to start (sign in to save and to use the AI Assistant, which gives you 25 free messages). Moderation, AutoMod, the spam shield, logs, welcome messages, role pickers, applications, events, feeds and @Foreman are free on any number of servers. Building a blueprint into Discord costs $9.99 once per blueprint, or it's included with Foreman Pro.
What does Foreman Pro add?
Foreman Pro is $4.99/month or $49.99/year for up to 10 servers (Foreman Network, $14.99/month, has no server limit). It covers deploying any of your blueprints on those servers, 15 feeds per server instead of 3, 20 @Foreman FAQ answers instead of 5, 300 @Foreman replies a day instead of 25 for staff and 10 for members, and his personality (helpful, friendly or a snarky goblin). One plan, one price, for all your servers. See plans.
What do I sign in with?
Your email or Google. You don't need to sign in to Discord on the website. To push blueprints from the website or put a server on Pro, link your Discord account once from your account page (it gives you a code to run with /link).
Does it work for servers that aren't about games?
Yes. Study groups, creators, support communities, clubs: the Builder doesn't assume a game, and feeds work with any website, blog, YouTube channel, subreddit, Bluesky or Mastodon profile. Some extras (WoW raid planner, game lookups) are there for gaming communities if you want them.

Building your server

How do I put a blueprint into my server?
Add Foreman to your server, then save your blueprint to get its Discord code. In a new, empty server run /deploy CODE. In a server you already have, run /update CODE once to connect it; after that, use Push to Discord in the Builder: Foreman checks first and shows what will change and any problems he can see coming, and nothing changes until you press Push now. /compare CODE lists the differences without changing anything. Guide for existing servers.
Will Foreman delete my channels, roles or messages?
No. He adds and fixes; he never deletes channels, roles or messages. Removing something in the Builder removes it from the blueprint only, so delete it in Discord yourself if you want it gone. If a push would undo changes someone made in Discord, he lists them first; Pull from Discord brings those changes into the blueprint instead.
Can I start from the server I already have?
Yes: run /export in it and Foreman saves it as a blueprint you can open in the Builder. Or use Pull from Discord once a blueprint is connected.
What is a Discord code, and why is it tied to one server?
It's how Foreman finds your saved blueprint. A code works in one server (the first one you use it in), so one unlock can't be reused across many servers; you can move it to another server once every 30 days from the Builder.
Can other admins edit my blueprint?
On the website, a blueprint belongs to the account that saved it. Other admins can still change the server in Discord, and Pull from Discord brings their changes into your blueprint.

Foreman in your server

What permissions does Foreman need, and why?
He asks for them once, so you don't re-invite him for each feature. Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Manage Server, Create Invite: build and update your server, AutoMod and onboarding, invite links. Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Add Reactions, Use External Emojis, Manage Webhooks, Manage Messages, threads: posts, role pickers, feeds, cleaning up spam. Timeout, Kick and Ban Members, View Audit Log, Manage Nicknames: moderation and logs. Change Nickname, Move Members: his own name, and voice tools. He never asks for Administrator. He can only manage roles below his own, so drag his role near the top in Server Settings → Roles.
Does Foreman read all our messages?
Discord shows a bot the messages in channels it can see, and Foreman uses them only for his features: the spam shield (who posted where, kept in memory for minutes), server logs if you turn them on (deleted and edited messages are copied into your own log channel), and answering when someone @-mentions him. He doesn't keep your message history. Privacy policy.
Is the AI labelled?
Yes. @Foreman's replies are written by AI from your server's rules and FAQ, and come from Foreman's app account. AI can be wrong, so give him your server's facts in the Builder (Foreman → Chat) rather than letting him guess.
Twitch, Kick and other streaming sites?
Twitch live alerts are built in (Builder → Foreman → Feeds), and /twitch check tests one. Kick isn't supported yet.
What if Foreman goes offline?
Your AutoMod rules live in Discord's own AutoMod, so they keep working. Everything else picks up again when he's back.
How do I remove Foreman, and what happens to our data?
Remove him like any bot (Server Settings → Members, or Integrations). Your server's Foreman data (settings, moderation cases, invite stats) is deleted 30 days later unless you add him back first. Your blueprints stay in your account until you delete them.
How is this different from MEE6, Carl-bot or Koya?
Those run a server you've set up yourself. Foreman also builds it from a plan, keeps it in step with the plan, and checks before changing anything. Moderation is free, and one Pro plan covers 10 servers instead of paying per server.

Billing and help

Refunds and cancelling?
A deploy unlock can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase if it didn't work for you. Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime from your account and keep working until the end of the period you paid for. Full details are in the Terms.
Where do I get help?
Use the Support page (leave an email so we can reply). For billing or legal questions you can also email adaptiverecordsystems@gmail.com. Every command is on the commands page, and /help lists them in Discord. Ready? Add Foreman to Discord.
